(Summer Vacation In Southern California)

Summer vacation in southern California is very relaxing. Jasmine is having a lot of fun experiencing the different life style in United States. This series contains pictures of Jasmine spending time in L.A with her aunts, uncles, and Laoye. There are also those of her at Disneyland and San Diego.

Jasmine is now 17 months old. She appears very mature for her age. She uses a lot of vocabulary and expresses needs with words. At 16 months old, Jasmine is also able to spell parts of her name. She mumbles "J.A.M.E". Daddy thought that was quite impressive though Mom and Jasmine have a long way to go before she can completely spell her name on her own. Our goal for this month is to practice spelling her name until she can spell it all.

Mom is quite tired so we will conclude this blog for now. We have an early plane to catch tomorrow morning. And Jasmine is passed out.

Uncle Mike and Aunt Lidija's cat is named Pandora. Jasmine has never seen the cartoon Dora, though she calls Pandora, Dora.

Last weekend, we flew to Seattle and visited them. We stayed and saw their beautiful home. Seattle felt like the Netherlands with the absence of smoke and with an American atmosphere. We enjoyed out time there. Uncle Mike, Aunt Lidija and Dora: thank you for your hospitality. We felt very much at home and relaxed during our stay with you.

Jasmine has started experimenting with photography. This series is the first photographic work of Jasmine. Laying in the hotel room, bored Jasmine armed and fascinated with a new camera she began her initial experiments. These are her very first works that we will cherish it forever.

Happy Father's Day to you, daddy. Jasmine loves you very much and wants to thank you for your strength, your love and your support. You made us very happy and words cannot express how much we truly love you.

"Welcome to the world!" to my new cousin Bailey Shy-Ann van Zoest.

Uncle Rik and aunt Jhentry had a gorgeous baby girl on 18 of June, 2007. She weights 7 pounds and 5 ounces with a lovely mop of seemingly dark hair. Mom, baby, and big sister are doing fine. We do not know when we will get to see her in person, but we will continue to check up on her and look for updates from her website.
